Our Favourite Celebration Lemon Gin Cocktails

When life gives you lemons, make gin! At least that’s what we thought when we combined crisp and zesty lemons with our award-winning London Dry Gin to make our Celebration Lemon Gin.

Packed with deliciously juicy flavour, this Limited Edition gin isn’t just for football fans. Infused with refreshing lemon peel and lemongrass aromas, it’s bursting with fresh flavour that’s sure to get anyone’s tastebuds tingling.

Whilst our Celebration Lemon Gin tastes superb in a good old classic G&T, nothing beats a refreshing cocktail!

Lemon is one of the most used ingredients in cocktails as it brings a beautifully tangy zing to so many mixes. But we think it’s about time for lemon to take the centre stage.

Without further ado, here are our favourite Celebration Lemon cocktails that you simply must try at home.

Goin Up Celebration Gin

French 75

Originally designed to celebrate the fast-firing 75 millimeter field gun that was utilized by the French during World War One, it was said that ‘both would knock you out’. However, the drink is a lot friendlier than the name implies!

Consisting of gin, fresh lemon juice, sugar and Champagne, it offers a slightly boozy kick whilst also providing the ultimate refreshment.

Prior to 1980 it was served as a long drink in an ice filled collins glass, but this recipe should be served in a modern champagne flute.

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, add ice and shake until thoroughly chilled. Fine strain into a modern Champagne flute and top with either Champagne or Prosecco. Garnish with a twist of lemon zest.

Lemon Gin Fizz

Add the gin and cordial/juice to an ice filled glass. Stir gently until combined and top with sparkling water. Garnish with a thin slice of lemon and mint sprigs.

Lemongrass Margarita

  • 50ml NCFC Celebration Lemon Gin
  • 15ml agave nectar
  • 2 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 2 tbsp chopped lemongrass
  • Thai basil (regular sweet basil works as well)
  • 50ml lime juice
  • 25ml Tequila

Muddle the agave, ginger, lemongrass and basil in the bottom of a cocktail shaker for at least 1 minute. Half fill the shaker with ice and add the gin, Tequila and lime juice. Shake until thoroughly chilled. Add crushed ice to a glass and strain in the mix. Garnish with lime.

For a longer drink you can add a splash of soda water on top.  For a full Margarita experience salt the rim of the glass with a salt, lime zest and ginger mix.

Ginger & Lemongrass Martini

  • 2 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 2 tbsp chopped lemongrass
  • 2 tbsp honey or agave nectar
  • 50ml NCFC Celebration Lemon Gin
  • 5ml Dry Vermouth
  • 5ml apple juice
  • 20ml chilled water

Muddle the ginger and lemongrass for at least 1 minute in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until the honey/agave dissolves. Fill the shaker with ice and shake until thoroughly chilled. Fine strain into a Martini glass and garnish with an apple slice.
