Spirit and Tide – A Love Affair that Spans the Centuries
Capturing the essence of land and sea, our newest member of the Bullards Signature Gin collection has proven to be a popular one amongst gin lovers far and wide. And for good reason, too!
Did you know that the relationship between the ocean and gin is nothing new?
During the ‘gin boom’ of the 18th Century, British Naval Officers often drank this juniper-based spirit with the addition of Angostura bitters to help ease their sea sickness. It was so effective that The Royal Navy made it law to have this spiritual tincture onboard every vessel to remedy the dangers and side-effects of the high seas.
Whilst Naval laws have improved a little over the years, this bond between spirit and tide remains the same.
‘So’, we thought…’why not bring a taste of the coast to the bottle?’
Our Coastal Gin
Norfolk is famous for its breath-taking coastline, golden sands, and endless horizons. Delicate and salty, complemented by bright citrus flavours, our Coastal gin has been carefully curated to bring a sense of this stunning seaside to you.
Awarded silver in the prestigious IWSC awards, the delicate blend between hand-foraged herbs, citrus and juniper creates a distinct coastal flavour which subtly reminds you of the salty freshness of a walk beside the sea.
Grab yourself a bottle and dive into the juniper-rich waters – or take some inspiration from our cocktails below!
